Executive Director and Centre Supervisor (RECE)

Imagine starting your workday with a ferry ride, fresh air, and time outdoors with children in a beautiful island setting. Waterfront Montessori Children’s Centre (WMCC) is seeking an experienced RECE to lead our small, vibrant preschool community.

WMCC is a licensed, non-profit, co-operative centre offering a unique program that blends Montessori, play-based, and nature-based learning, with extensive outdoor time year-round. This is a unique leadership opportunity for an educator who loves adventure, collaboration, and meaningful work in a close-knit community.

In this role, you will:

• Lead and support a dedicated team of educators

• Shape an engaging, child-centred learning environment

• Oversee high-quality programming and regulatory compliance

• Collaborate closely with families and our Parent Board

You bring:

• RECE in good standing with the College of ECEs

• 3+ years of leadership experience

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Strong knowledge of CCEYA, licensing and CWELCC

• CPR/First Aid Level C, Vulnerable Sector Check, up-to-date immunizations

• Passion for outdoor and Montessori-inspired learning

We offer:

• Salary $75,075–$79,625
